Delivered from our Windsor campus in Sydney, NSW, we offer two structures for the Diploma of Hospitality Management: Direct Entry or Pathway / Packaged Course. Both courses will provide you with detailed training and experience in commercial cookery and hospitality management.

For international students and students looking to study in regional NSW, please note that our hospitality courses include significant in-class learning and practical activity at our Windsor campus in Sydney.

Diploma of Hospitality Management (Pathway / Package Course)

The Pathway / Packaged Course program is for those already working in commercial cookery who are looking to further develop their skills and training. With the Packaged Course, you complete the SIT40516 Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery before going on to develop your management skills and knowledge by completing the Diploma of Hospitality Management.

The Diploma includes units on hospitality regulatory requirements, budgeting and finance, managing operational plans, staffing and people management and customer service.

The Diploma of Hospitality Management (Pathway / Package Course) can be completed in two terms over 26 weeks.

Diploma of Hospitality Management (Direct Entry)

The Diploma of Hospitality Management (Direct Entry) is for those looking to develop a broad set of skills across hospitality management with a particular focus on commercial cookery for restaurants, hotels, clubs, pubs, cafes and coffee shops and catering businesses.

Stages 1-4 (40 weeks) focus on practical commercial cookery techniques and provide a thorough grounding in kitchen operations and health and safety, with Stage 4 being a practical work placement.

Stages 5-7 focus on developing your hospitality management skills and knowledge. They include detailed units on industry regulation, budgeting and finance, managing operational plans, staffing, people management, customer service and more.
