Whether you’re in Regional NSW or the heart of Sydney, qualified information technology professionals are in high demand. The Advanced Diploma of Information Technology (IT) is a nationally recognised qualification that will open doors across a range of exciting growth industries.

At New Era Institute, we offer Advanced Diploma of IT courses with two specialisations:

    1. Cyber Security
    2. Telecommunications Network Engineering

Both course streams are structured to reflect the requirements and responsibilities across a range of information and communication technology roles. The course will provide you with in-demand technical skills including programming, cyber security, cloud computing and business analysis. Beyond that, it will also provide you with a range of business and people management skills that are vital for managing tech teams and leading complex projects. The Diploma will prepare you to carry out complex IT tasks within your specialist field and use your expertise to drive projects and direct business strategy.

The Advanced Diploma in IT will help you to develop a range of technical skills highly prized by employers across a range of industries. These include:

    • Advanced data management including data storage system design and management
    • Cyber security including designing and implementing security infrastructure and cyber security compliance

Course delivery is three days per week face-to-face learning from our Burwood campus in Sydney. Our courses are delivered by experienced industry professionals with extensive real-world expertise.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS



    • Be at least 18 years of age and have completed the equivalent of Year 12.
    • Participate in a course entry interview to determine suitability for the course and student needs.
    • Have an IELTS* score of 5.5 (test results must be no more than 2 years old).  English language competence can also be demonstrated through documented evidence of any of the following:

ICT60220 Advanced Diploma of Information Technology is a nationally recognised qualification.

At the time of enrolment, students may get to choose one of these two specialisations:

1 - Cyber Security

2- Telecommunications Network Engineering

The packaging rules consist of 16 units ( 6 core units  and 10 elective units)

COURSE DURATION



Duration: 104 weeks (80 weeks’ tuition and 24 weeks’ breaks between terms)

Class sessions: 3 days per week (20 hours weekly)

Please note to complete your course you will need to have access to a computer and the internet. New Era Institute encourages the students to bring their own devices to the campus (where there is free wireless internet access).

    • Student Visa (Onshore Students Only)
    • Certified copies of English proficiency (must be obtained within the last 2 years, if required)
    • Certified copies of Academic Transcripts and Certificates
    • Complete Student Enrolment Form
    • Read International Student Handbook on the website
    • Send Enrolment Form to New Era Institute
    • NEI representative/Agent will contact you to collect documents for GTE assessment

Successful Student Visa

If your student visa application is approved, you should contact New Era Institute and provide evidence of approval. New Era Institute will contact you to confirm your timetable, start date and all other arrangements for your study with New Era Institute.

Unsuccessful Student Visa
